Import quota

On 18 February 2014, the Brazilian External Trade Chamber (CAMEX) issued Resolution No. 7 reducing the import tariff for primary aluminium from 6% to 2%. The reduction will be valid for 180 days (expiration date 17 August 2014) and limited to 39,000 tonnes. Each company will be granted an initial maximum export quota of 5,000 tonnes.
