Anti-dumping

On August 29, 2008, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China decided to initiate a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of phthalic anhydride from India, Japan and South Korea.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 2917.35.
On August 30, 2009, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping duty on imports of phthalic anhydride originating in India, Japan and South Korea (MOFCOM Announcement No. 56 of 2009, 30.08.2009). This duty entered into force on August 31, 2009 and is applicable for a period of five years.
On August 21, 2014, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China announced that the duty imposed on imports of phthalic anhydride originating in India, Japan and South Korea will terminate on August 30, 2014 since no application has been filled for an extension (MOFCOM Announcement No. 59 of 2014, 21.08.2014).
