Anti-dumping

In a Federal Register notice published on June 23, 2014 the U.S. Department of Commerce renewed the existing anti-dumping and countervailing duty order against imports of light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from Mexico, Turkey, China, and Korea. The original order was imposed on August 5, 2008, with the renewed order thus exceeding the five-year 'sunset' standard that generally applies to trade-remedy measures under WTO agreements (i.e., article 21.3 of the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures and article 11.3 of the Anti-dumping Agreement).

Anti-dumping

On June 26, 2020 the U.S. International Trade Commissiondetermined that revoking the existing antidumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from China, Korea, Mexico, and Turkey would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. As a result of the determinations, the existing countervailing duty order on imports of this product from China, and the existing antidumping duty orders on imports of this product from China, Korea, Mexico, and Turkey, will remain in place.
