Import tariff

On 14 January 2011, the government of the Philiippines has extended the duty free importation of wheat and cement for another six months.
 
The government had implemented the duty free importation in 2008 and continuously renewed the tariff discount since then. Previously, milling wheat and feed wheat had been subject to an import duty of3 and 7 percent respectively. The now duty free cement and cement clinker had been taxed with 5 percent.
