Anti-dumping

In a Federal Register notice published on March 26, 2014 the U.S. Department of Commerce renewed the existing anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders against imports of laminated woven sacks from China. The original order was imposed on August 7, 2008, with the renewed order thus exceeding the five-year 'sunset' standard that generally applies to trade-remedy measures under WTO agreements (i.e., article 21.3 of the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures and article 11.3 of the Anti-dumping Agreement).

Anti-dumping

On August 2, 2019 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that revoking the existing antidumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of laminated woven sacks from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. As a result of the determinations, the existing antidumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of this product from China will remain in place.
