Financial grant

On 13 September 2013, theEuropean Commission granted upon request by the Polish government investment aid from the European RegionalDevelopment Fund (more precisely, the Operational Programme InnovativeEconomy) to the HS Wroclaw. The aid worth EUR 60.62 million will be used to construct a production plant for aircraftcomponents in Wroclaw, the Dolnoslaskie region. The goods produced in this factory are potentially tradeable internationally.

The beneficiary is asubsidiary of the UTC Aerospace Systems located in Windsor Locks,Connecticut and specializes in the manufacture of products andcomponents for the aerospace industry.
The aid received from EU'sFund will amount to EUR 11.38 million, while Poland will contributeanother 2 million. The decision by Polish authorities to grant the aidwas taken on 30 March 2012 and the project is due on 31 December 2015.
