Anti-dumping

On October 30, 2012, the Japanese authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of electrolytic manganese dioxide from China, South Africa and Spain.
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2820.10.
On March 5, 2014, the Japanese authorities decided upon the continuation of the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of electrolytic manganese dioxide from China, South Africa and Spain. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in China ranges from 34.3% to 46.5%, depending on the company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in South Africa is 14.5%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Spain is 14%. This definitive duty entered into force on March 6, 2014.
The original anti-dumping duty was decided on August 29, 2008 and entered into force on September 1, 2008.
