Import ban

In response to a declared emergency, on June 21, 2012 the governor or Oregon signed into law a bill (HB2122) that prohibits the importation of untreated firewood into state and requires that the State Department of Agriculture adopt rules regulating importation, supplying, and sale of firewood. The law applies to importation or other nonretail supplying of firewood, and to wholesale selling of firewood, that occurs on or after July 1, 2012.
