Anti-dumping

Follow the filing of a complaint by Alta Steel Inc. (Edmonton, Alberta), ArcelorMittal LCNA (Contrecoeur, Quebec), and Gerdau Longsteel North America (Whitby, Ontario), on June 13, 2014, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations of certain concrete reinforcing bar imported from China, Korea, and Turkey.
The CBSA reached a final dumping determination in this case on December 10, 2014. 
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal reached an affirmative determination on the threat of injury to the domestic industry on January 9, 2015.
