In December 2010, the government of India initiated a new anti-dumping investigation and a duty was imposed in January 2012. The duty was terminated in January 2017.

On December 6, 2010, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of silk fabrics of weight 20-100 grams per meter (produced in the power looms only) from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 5007.1000, 5007.2000 and 5007.2010, 5007.2090 and 5007.9000.
On December 5, 2011, the Indian authorities issued their final findings of the sunset review. They recommended the continuation of the existing anti-dumping measure.
On January 13, 2012, the Indian authorities issued the notification of extension of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of silk fabrics from China (Notification No. 2/2012-Customs (ADD), 13.01.2012). For details about the amount of the duty, see table of Notification No. 2/2012-Customs (ADD). This duty is effective for a period of five years.
The original anti-dumping duty was decided on November 15, 2006 and imposed by Notification No. 121/2006-Customs on December 26, 2006.
On 12 January 2017, the Indian authorities terminated the definitive duty on imports of the subject good from China.
