In October 2010, the members of SACU initiated a sunset review and extended the duty in April 2011. The duty was terminated in April 2016.

On October 22, 2010, the South African authorities on behalf of SACU initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of paper insulated lead covered electric cable from India.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8544.6000.
On April 8, 2011, the South African authorities decided upon the continuation of the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of paper insulated lead covered electric cable from India. The rate of the duty is 65.47%.
On 23 September 2016, the South African Revenue Service terminated the above definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from India. The duty is terminated retrospectively on 7 April 2016.
