On 16 May 2013, the Ministry of Foreign Trade adopted Decree 8.010 introducing drawbacks on domestically produced goods for export which are based on imported oil (or oil derivatives), such as plastic and other chemical products. The Decree suspends the import duty, tax on industrialized goods (IPI), PIS/Pasep, Cofins, PIS/Pasep-Import, and Cofins-Import. The measure took effect on 17 May 2013.
