ANNOUNCEMENT 12 Dec 2012
In December 2012, the European Commission announced changes to its trade defence rules.NUMBER OF INTERVENTIONS

On 12 December 2012 the EC adjusted its policy with respect to protection against dumped imports from non-EU countries.
While the old regulation (1225/2009) foresaw a three month time limit to determine injury, the new law allows for a determination period of seven months. Consequently the time to provide evidence is longer and may facilitate dumping complaints and ultimately greater discrimination against foreign commercial interests.
The measure applies to all new and pending investigations alike.
