ANNOUNCEMENT 29 Nov 2008

In November 2008, the government of Ukraine updated an existing Anti-dumping duty for the first time since the start of GTA monitoring. In November 2013, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2014. In November 2019, a sunset review was initiated.

Anti-dumping

On September 27, 2008, the Ukrainian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of pointwork from Russia. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8608.0010.

On November 29, 2008, the Ukrainian authorities extended for a period of five years the anti-dumping duty on imports of pointwork from Russia. The rate of the duty is 59.4%.

On November 29, 2013, the Ukrainian authorities initiated an expiry review of the anti-dumping measure imposed on November 29, 2008.

On November 29, 2014, the Ukrainian authorities decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of pointwork originating in Russia. The rate of this definitive duty is 59.4%, at the exception of the goods produced by Murom Switch Works and exported by Murom Turnout Company which are subject to a duty of 13.44%.

 On 28 November 2019, the Ukranian authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Russia. This follows the application issued by Joint Stock Company Dnipropetrovsk Plant.
