Anti-dumping

On March 12, 2008, the Thai authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of flat cold-rolled stainless steel from Chinese Taipei, Japan and South Korea.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7219.3200, 7219.3300, 7219.34, 7219.35 and 7220.2000.
 
On March 19, 2009, the Thai authorities extended for five years the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of flat cold-rolled stainless steel from Chinese Taipei, Japan and South Korea. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Chinese Taipei ranges from 0% to 33.99%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Japan ranges from 0% to 50.92%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in South Korea is 33.99%.
 
On March 18, 2014, the Thai authorities initiatied a sunset review of the anti-dumping measure imposed on March 19, 2009.
 
On February 26th, 2015, the Thai authorities concluded the sunset review initiated on March 18th, 2014 and decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on March 19th, 2009 for five more years.
