In January 2011, the government of Thailand initiated a sunset review and extended the definitive duty for a new period in January 2012. In January 2019, a sunset review was initiated.

Anti-dumping

On January 21, 2011, the Thai authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of citric acid from China.
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2918.1400.
On January 20, 2012, the Thai authorities extended for one year the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of citric acid from China. The rate of duty is 38.10%.
 
On January 21, 2013, the Thai authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on January 20, 2012.
On January 20, 2014, the Thai authorities decided upon the continuation for five more years of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of citric acid originating in China. The rate of duty is now 57.79%.

On 18 January 2019, the Thai authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed on imports of citric acid from China. 

On 20 January 2019, the definitive duty was extended for the duration of the sunset review.
