Anti-dumping

On October 26, 2012, the South African authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of spades, shovels, rakes, forks and garden picks from China.
 
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 8201.3003, 8201.1010, 8201.9020 and 8201.3090.
 
On October 18, 2013, the South African authorities extended the definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of spades, shovels, rakes, forks and garden picks from China. The amount of the duty imposed on spades and shovels is 158.1c per kilogram (USD 0.1527 per kilogram at the rate of May 12, 2014). The amount of the duty imposed on picks is 262.7c per kilogram (USD 0.2539 per kilogram at the rate of May 12, 2014). The amount of the duty imposed on rakes is 369.2c per kilogram (USD 0.3568 per kilogram at the rate of May 12, 2014). The amount of the duty imposed on forks is 480c per kilogram (USD 0.4638 per kilogram at the rate of May 12, 2014).
