On December 24, 2013, the Egyptian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of synthetic staple fibres, not carded, combed or otherwise, processed for spinning of polyesters, from China and India.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 5503.2000.
On November 25, 2014, the Egyptian authorities decided to terminate the investigation without imposing any duty. Reason for termination is the absence of causal link between dumping and injury.
