Anti-dumping

On December 21, 2013, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of aluminium foil of a thickness not exceeding 0.2mm, not backed, from China (Notification 2013/29). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7607.11 and 7607.19.

On July 26, 2014, the Turkish authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of aluminium foil (of a thickness not exceeding 0.2mm, not backed) originating in China (Notification 2014/25). The rate of the duty is 22% of the CIF value.

On 25 May 2019, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by Assan Alüminyum Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş., Panda Alüminyum A.Ş., İspak Esnek Ambalaj Sanayi A.Ş., Sinanlı Ambalaj San. ve Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti. and Asaş Alüminyum Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. The definitive antidumping duty will remain in force for the duration of the investigation.
