Anti-dumping

On November 18th, 2013, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of polyvinyl chloride from Chinese Taipei and South Korea (Notice ADC No. 31/2013/NTC/PVC, Initiation).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3904.1090.
This investigation follows the application lodged on September 20th, 2013 by Engro Polymers and Chemicals Limited, Karachi, a domestic producer of the subject good.

On May 15th, 2014, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission issued its preliminary findings and decided upon the termination of the investigation without imposing any anti-dumping measure (Notice ADC No. 31/2013/NTC/PVC, Conclusion). Reason for this decision is the absence of injury suffered by the domestic industry.
