Anti-dumping

On December 23, 2013, the Korean authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of ethanolamine from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and the United States of America.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 2922.1100, 2922.1200 and 2922.1300. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.
On December 30, 2014, the Korean authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of ethanolamine from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and the United States of America. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Japan is 21.79%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Malaysia is 12.64%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Thailand is 4.36%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in the United States of America ranges from 12.43% to 21.79%, depending on the company.

On 4 September 2017, the Korean authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and the United States of America.
