On June 7, 2013, the Philippine authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of wheat flour from Turkey.
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 1101.0000. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between 2010 and 2012.
On June 2, 2014, the Philippine authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of wheat flour from Turkey (Customs Memorandum Order No. 12-2014). The rate of the duty ranges from 0% to 39.26%, depending on the exact specifications of the good and on the Turkish exporter. This provisional duty is applicable for a period of four months.
On January 9, 2015, the Philippine authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of wheat flour from Turkey (Customs Memorandum Order No. 2-2015). The rate of the duty ranges from 2.96% to 16.19, depending on the exporter. Moreover, four following exporters are not subject to the payment of the duty (see table of Customs Memorandum Order No. 2-2015, p. 1). This definitive duty is applicable for a period of five years.
