In March 2012, the government of India initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of vitamin-A palmitate from China and Switzerland. In November 2013, the definitive duty was extended for a new period. In November 2018, the definitive duty was terminated.

Anti-dumping

On March 23, 2012, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of vitamin-A palmitate from China and Switzerland.
 
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2936.2100.
 
On August 21, 2013, the Indian authorities decided to modify and extend the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of vitamin-A palmitate from China and Switzerland. The amount of the duty is USD 8.92 per kilogram for imports originating in Switzerland, at the exception of DSM Nutritional Products AG whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 7.34 per kilogram. The amount of duty is USD 15.37 per kilogram for imports originating in China. This duty entered into force on November 13, 2013.

On 12 November 2018, the definitive duty was terminated on imports of vitamin-A palmitate from China and Switzerland. The measure was terminated as it was set to expire after a period of five years.
