In September 2012, the government of India initiated a sunset review on imports of phosphoric acid from China. In December 2018, the definitive duty was extended for a new period. In December 2018, the definitive duty was terminated.

Anti-dumping

On September 10, 2012, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of phosphoric acid (technical grade and food grade, including industrial grade) from China. The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2809.2010.

On November 8, 2013, the Indian authorities decided upon the continuation of the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of phosphoric acid from China. The amount of the duty is USD 249.38 per metric ton. This duty entered into force on December 31, 2013.

On 30 December 2018, the definitive duty was terminated on imports of phosphoric acid (technical grade and food grade, including industrial grade) from China. The measure was terminated as it was set to expire after a period of five years.
