In September 2012, the government of India initiated a sunset review and extended the definitive duty for a new period in September 2013. In October 2018, a new sunset review was initiated.

On September 7, 2012, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of ductile iron pipes from China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7303.0030 and 7303.0090.
On September 4, 2013, the Indian authorities decided upon the continuation of the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of ductile iron pipes from China. The amount of the duty is USD 139.79 per metric ton, at the exception of the company Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co. Ltd. whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 127.40 per metric ton. This duty entered into force on October 10, 2013.
On 9 October 2018, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by Electrosteel Casting Limited and Srikalahasti Pipes Limited (SPL) and M/s Jindal Saw Limited. On the same day, in connection with the aforementioned sunset review, the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification extending the definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from China until 9 April 2019.
