In May 2012, the government of India initiated a sunset review on imports of zinc oxide from China. In September 2013, the definitive duty was extended for a new period. In September 2018, the definitive duty was terminated.

On May 2, 2012, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of zinc oxide from China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 2817.0010, 3812.3030.
On June 25, 2013, the Indian authorities decided upon the continuation of the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of zinc oxide from China. The amount of the duty is USD 430.93 per metric ton. This duty entered into force on September 6, 2013.
On 5 September 2018, the definitive duty was terminated on imports of zinc oxide from China. The measure was terminated as it was set to expire after a period of five years.
