In November 2013, the government of Indonesia updated an existing Anti-dumping duty for the first time since the start of GTA monitoring. In December 2017, the Indonesian authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty extended in November 2013.

Anti-dumping

On November 27, 2013, the Indonesian authorities decided the continuation of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of hot rolled coil from Belarus, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Kazakhstan, Russia and Thailand.
 
The products subject to the duty are classified under the following HS codes: 7208.1000, 7208.2500, 7208.2600, 7208.2700, 7208.3600, 7208.3700, 7208.3800, 7208.3900 and 7208.9000.
 
The rate of the duty imposed on imports from China ranges from 0% to 20%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports from Taiwan ranges from 0% to 20%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports from India ranges from 12.95% to 20%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports from the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan ranges from 5.58% to 20%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports from Thailand ranges from 7.52% to 20%, depending on the exporting company.
 
The original anti-dumping duty entered into force on February 28, 2008.

On 21 December 2017, the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) issued an announcement initiating a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Belarus, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Kazakhstan, Russia and Thailand. This follows the application lodged by PT. Krakatau Steel. The definitive antidumping duty extended in 2013 is set to expire on 28 December 2018.
