In April 2022, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture increased the export duty on sunflower oil.

Export tax

On 14 April 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation increased the export duty on sunflower oil. According to the Ministry, the export duty will increase from USD 313 per ton to USD 372.2 per ton. 

The duty is determined based on sunflower oil's indicative price of USD 1531.8 per ton. The export duty will be in force from 1 May 2022 until 31 May 2022, and it will apply to all exports outside the Eurasian Economic Union.

This measure is taken in accordance with Resolution N546, see related state act.
