Import tariff quota

On 23 April 2014, the EC announced the introduction of a zero duty import tariff quota on certail cereals originating in Ukraine.
More precisely:

  • Wheat and wheat flour are subject to a 950'000 tonnes duty free import quota
  • Barley and barley flour are subject to a 250'000 tonnes duty free import tariff quota
  • Maize and maize flour are subject to a 400'000 tonnes duty free import tariff rate quota

The measure was temporary and expired on 31 October 2014. Earlier in April 2014, the EC already eliminated most of the customs duties on goods originating in Ukraine (related measure).
