Export licensing requirement

On 10 January 2022, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry through Notification No. 50/2015-2020 imposed a licensing requirement on the exports of Enoxaparin (Formulation and API) and Intra-Venous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) (Formulation and API) - (HS 2942, 3001, 3002*).

The amendment was implemented by changing the export policy of the above products from "Free" to "Restricted". A Free export policy implies that no restrictions are applicable on exports while a Restricted policy imposes a licensing requirement.

*The restriction is applicable even if the said products are covered under other HS codes.
