Labour market access

On 5 July 2013, the law firm Fragomen reported that Argentina will now issue prolonged short-term work permits. The short-term work permits requested in-country have been extended to a maximum of 90 days, an increase from the previous validity of 30 days.

A recent regulation (see 'Related Measures') limited short-term work permits to two per foreign national in a year. However, when a foreign national applies after arriving in Argentina, the permit will now be issued in line with the length of stay granted at the port of entry (usually 90 days).
