Labour market access

As of 26 June 2013, a new regulation will limit foreign workers to two short-term work permits per year, calculated from the date of issuance of the individual's first permit. A foreign national's permit will be automatically cancelled if he or she travels outside of Argentina.

Previously, no limitations on successive applications existed, although immigration officers reportedly exercised their discretion to deny short-term work permits for foreign workers who had spent more than 90 days in Argentina.
