Anti-dumping

On November 28, 2013, the Argentinian Ministry of Economy and Public Finance decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain porcelain insulators from Brazil, China and Colombia.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8546.2000.
The complaint was lodged by Fábrica Argentina de Porcelanas Armanino Sociedad Anónima. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on December 5, 2013.
 
On December 30, 2014, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the above-mentioned products originating in Brazil, China and Colombia (Resolution 1105/2014, 30.12.2014).
The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Brazil is 45% of the FOB price. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in China is 197.75% of the FOB price. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Colombia is 50.41% of the FOB price.
This provisional anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on January 23, 2015, and is applicable for a period of four months.
 
On June 4th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the above-mentioned products from Brazil, China and Colombia (Resolution 410/2015, 04.06.2015).
The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Brazil is 70.97% of the FOB price. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in China is 227.74% of the FOB price. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Colombia is 21.39% of the FOB price.
This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on June 5th, 2015.
