Import tariff

On 29 September 2021, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a ruling relating to the tariff classification of three “Power Ranger” costume accessory sets. With the ruling, CBP reclassified three costume accessory sets as parts of footwear under HTSUS 6406.90.15 rather than as festive articles under HTSUS 9505.90.60. With the new classification, the import tariff of the subject product has increased from duty-free to 14.9 percent duty.

This ruling will become effective on or after November 28, 2021.
