State loan

On 11 May 2009, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Cementos Molins SA signed an agreement worth EUR 60 million (approx. USD 82 million) for the project Cementos Molins Energy Efficiency from Spain. The total cost of the project is estimated at EUR 125 million.

According to the project description issued by the EIB, Construction of a new production line for energy efficient cement fabrication to replace three existing less energy efficient cement production lines..

The objective of the project is defined as following: The project consists in the construction and operation of a single 4100 t/d state of the art production line, which would replace 3 existing production lines. The project makes efficient use of certain parts of the existing plant (cement mill, packaging, and storages)..

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
