Export tax

In its National Budget for 2014, the government of Zimbabwe included the announcement of a 15% levy on 'unbeneficiated' (i.e., unprocessed) platinum and diamonds exports, as an intermediate step towards an export ban on unbeneficiated platinum to be effectuated by the end of 2014. This would in essence oblige platinum producers to set up processing facilities in the country.
