Ministry of Trade regulation 22/M-DAG/PER/3/2016, March 28, 2016 (in Bahasa Indonesia):
On February 11, 2014, the Indonesian House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia) passed into law a Trade Bill that had been on the table since 2010. It offers a comprehensive legal framework for trade-related matters that the country had been lacking thus far. Its most important effect on international commerce is that it provides the government with sweeping possibilities to prohibit or restrict imports and exports of goods and/or services.
The stated grounds for such restrictions or bans include national security, public health and safety, environmental concerns, developing domestic industry, maintaining a good balance of payments.
The related Ministry of Trade regulation 22/M-DAG/PER/3/2016 was stipulated on 28 March 2016.
