State loan

On 28 July 2011, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Airbus S.a.s. signed an agreement worth EUR 800 million (approx. USD 1141 million) for the project Eads Innovative Design R&d from France-Germany-Spain-United Kingdom. The total cost of the project is estimated at EUR 3600 million.

According to the project description issued by the EIB, Financement du développement de conceptions innovantes dans le secteur aéronautique civil.

The objective of the project is defined as following: The project will contribute to improving technology in the field of aircraft design, bringing about positive environmental results in terms of lower CO2 and other harmful emissions. Such technology is in line with proposed EU legislation on reducing pollutant emissions and will contribute to improving the competitiveness of the European aerospace industry..

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
