Labour market access

Effective 1 September 2013, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the main immigration authority in Bahrain, charges a monthly fee of five Bahraini Dinar (approximately US$13) for each of the first five foreign nationals hired by a company and ten Dinar for each additional foreign worker. This fee will increase the operating expenses of the companies who wish to hire foreign individuals.
