Labour market access

Effective January 10, 2014, the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) increased for the first time since 2010 the fees for work permit filing by 50 to 100 per cent for some categories (see the attached source).
Furthermore, penalties for unauthorized employment have been increased by 150 per cent.
