On 13 February 2012, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) reduced the import tariffs on 135 capital goods to 2%, except for Ex 001 of NCM 8423.30.11 which received a tariff of 6%. The products have been labeled as ex-tarifários, i.e., products with a tariff exception to the Mercosur Common External Tariff. The measure was in force until 30 June 2013.
