Trade finance

 On 15 March 2010, the Government of India agreed to provide a loan of USD 5 million to the Government of the Republic of Senegal for financing goods and services to setup 4 hospitals. The agreement mentions the intentions to import medical equipment, furniture and other accessories for the hospitals.

The credit is provided by the Export Import Bank of India (EXIM) and requires that at least 85% of the contract price for goods and services associated with the plant is sourced from India.

The credit agreement came into force on 8 December 2010.
