On 9 December 2013, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) reduced the import tariffs on 141 capital goods to 2%. The products have been labeled as ex-tarifários, i.e., products with a tariff exception to the Mercosur Common External Tariff. The measure will be implemented until 31 December 2014.
