Financial grant

On 15 April 2010, the Department of Energy approved a financial grant worth USD 138 million to Vermont Transco Llc located in Rutland, VT, United States of America. The support was granted through the Electricity Research, Development and Analysis programme.

The Electricity Research, Development and Analysis program provides grants to projects that aim to modernize the energy infrastructure and mitigate the impacts of disruptions to the energy supply. The program also supports the development of cost-effective technology projects that enhances the reliability, efficiency, and resiliency of the electric grid by enabling the effective utilization of emerging and renewable energy generation sources.
