Import tariff

On 6 July 2012, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) added (according to resolution no. 43/12) two products to the List of Exceptions to the Mercosur Common External Tariff (Letec):

  • Female preservatives out of polyurethane (NCM 3926.90.40): the tariff was reduced from 18% to 0%
  • Welding simulators (NCM 9023.00.00): the tariff was reduced from 16% to 2%

Update
On 3 July 2018, CAMEX issued Resolution 46 modifying the List of Exceptions to the Common External Tariff (LETEC) of Mercosur eliminating NCM 3926.90.40 from the list (please see related state acts)

Import tariff

In addition, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) on 6 July 2012, retrieved sevelamer hydrochloride (NCM 3004.90.99) from the Letec as the product is now also domestically produced. The tariff was increased from 0% back to 8% corresponding to the Mercosur Common External Tariff.
