Import tariff quota

On 18 October 2013, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) reduced the import tariffs on palm oil and carbon steel plates for a period of 180 days for a defined quota. The tariff rate quotas are set as follows:

  • For palm oil (NCM 1513.29.10), tariffs are reduced from 10% to 2% for a quota of 99.332 tons.
  • For carbon steel plates (NCM 7208.51.00), tariffs are reduced from 12% to 2% for a quota of 9.500 tons.
