Export ban

On 14 November 2013, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued notifications that allow export of prohibited items under certain conditions.
 
The export of a prohibited item has been allowed under Advance Authorization provided it is separately notified and meets the specified conditions. Earlier, neither imports or exports were allowed under Advance Authorization.
 
Further, with regards to Export Oriented Units, the export of such items could be allowed on approval from the Board of Approval, provided the raw materials are imported and have not been secured from inside the Indian customs region.
