On 29 May 2017, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced an agreement worth EUR 50 million (approx. USD 55 million) for the project Bnl - Italian Risk Sharing Initiative from Italy.

According to the project description issued by the EIB, Dedicated MBIL to support eligible expenditures by innovative SMEs and Midcaps as defined under the Horizon 2020 financial instrument..

The objective of the project is defined as following: Financing of small/medium projects carried out by Italian small and medium-sized enterprises in order to support RDI activity and innovative deployment as well as eligible expenditures by Italian innovative SMEs and mid-caps.

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
