On 30 July 2020, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Cec Bank - SA signed an agreement worth EUR 50 million (approx. USD 57 million) for the project Cec Covid-19 Response for SMEs & Midcaps from Romania.

According to the project description issued by the EIB, Dedicated loan to finance small and medium sized projects carried out by Romanian SMEs & Midcaps in response to COVID-19 crisis..

The objective of the project is defined as following: The aim is to enhance access to finance for SMEs and midcaps. This operation will contribute to mitigate the negative economic effects of the pandemic outbreak..
