On March 27, 2009, the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, extended the anti-dumping duty on Vitamin E of all forms except natural forms originating or imported from China (Notification 33/2009-Customs).
The amount of the duty is the difference between the reference price set at USD 25.54 per kilogram and the landed value of the imported goods.
The affected HS codes are: 2936.2800 and 2309.9000.
The duty has been extended for five years based on final findings published on 5 March 2009.
Initial duties had been imposed on 06 October 2003.
On March 24, 2014, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry decided to initiation a second sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of vitamin E from China (Notification Initiation Second Sunset Review, 24.03.2014).
On May 9, 2014, the Indian Ministry of Finance decided to extend the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on March 27, 2009 for one year, up to March 26, 2015 (Notification No. 16/2014-Customs (ADD), 09.05.2014).
On March 23rd, 2015, the Indian Directorate General of anti-dumping & allied duties, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, issued its final findings of the sunset review. It recommended the continuation of the existing anti-dumping measure.
On June 10th, 2015, the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification of extension of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of vitamin E originating in China (Notification No. 29/2015-Customs (ADD), 10.06.2015). The amount of the duty is USD 1.77 per kilogram. This duty is effective for a period of five years.
